Seniors on the go, Ravenclaw!
A couple of weeks after being proclaimed as the champion in the Intramural 2017, we, the seniors decided to throw a victory party in a place where we can relax and enjoy, getting away from the stress and burden of school life. We wanted to spend it somewhere new--- in a cool place that can beat the rising temperature of the earth. And there it goes, our things were packed, foods were prepared, and the trip to Bogac Cold Spring of Barobo, Surigao del Sur was set.
After an hour of joyride, we arrived at the spring by 9 am. All I saw we’re God’s perfect creations – the place, the cool ambiance created by the trees and crystal-clear water, everything. Smiles were painted on the faces of my co-seniors. I could see the excitement in their eyes. Bogac Cold Spring is indeed beautiful.
Despite the sizzling hot weather, we didn’t waste a single minute of our stay in the cold spring. We hurriedly looked for a vacant spot and booogsh! We swam and played like kids; we talked and discussed stuffs like adults. Everyone seemed so happy to indulge in the alluring beauty of Bogac.
Our adventure rose to a higher level. That was the time when we all conquered the fear of heights and of deep waters. I was scared, thinking that I may end up drowning. But as I watched my batchmates enjoying the trip, I didn’t hesitate to stand at the peak of a large rock and jumped off the deep water. My heart skipped a beat, but I really enjoyed it! I felt like I am a winner. Hours were spent chitchatting, eating, laughing, swimming, diving, and enjoying. I could really say it’s one of the best bonding moments we’ve had. I didn’t regret it for I was able to spend a great time with great people.
It was indeed a day well spent--- the joyful roadtrip, the delicious foods that satisfied our hungry stomachs, the cool atmosphere we’re living, the freezing cold spring water, the breath-taking adventures we did, everything. God knows how grateful I am to have a good time with the people whom I consider my extended family.
“The time we enjoyed wasting is not a time wasted”, Yes, we did it we didn’t have regrets! Cheers to more ‘days-well-spent’!
