T-20 world cup is going well in these days in Bangladesh. Lots of sixes and fours are coming to see and also the wickets flowing in the air in the world cup matches. Today I am going to tell you about the scoring and good pressure game of the second round.
This match was played on 24th march in Chittagong between South Africa and New Zealand. The toss was won by New Zealand but they elected to field. When the South Africa starts their batting they stay in pressure in whole inning. The only man JP Duminy play the really for his team. Their opening was broken by Mills, he bowled the Kock on the total of 16. After the first wicket fall, their captain Du Plesis comes to the crease. His stay was also short on the wicket. He goes back to the pavilion after scoring thirteen runs. Then the athletic man AB De Villiers comes to the crease but cannot score too much for his team. After AB, JP Duminy comes and he plays the really good cricket with the other batsman Hashim Amla who was on the crease with him. Their wickets fallen after every few minutes but JP Duminy keep the one end and show his class. He took his team to the total of 170 runs in the 20 overs. In this way South Africa gave the target of 171 runs to the New Zealand.
This was the big total for New Zealand to chase but they were confident to chase it. They start their innings very well, their openers give the start of 57 runs in 7 over’s. They lose the two quick wickets on the score of 66. Then the most experienced man from the New Zealand Ross Taylor comes to the crease and shows his experience and class in batting. He took his score on the total of 117 runs but he loses his partner. Now the New Zealand team was in pressure. They lost their wickets quickly and at one stage they need the 7 runs from the last over with six wickets remaining. But they could not make it. Steyn gun start his firing on the opponent team and get the three wickets of the New Zealand. In this way Steyn prevent the New Zealand batsman to chase down the target.
I enjoyed this match a lot. I am also enjoying this world cup.
