Today is the third day I am experience service in India in terms of couriers and installations. First experience was the kitchen garden delivery that took 3 days to be completed. Maybe it is my American mentality but I don't expect packages to be delivered after 6pm because then I just wasted my entire day. Whenever I am given a time I know now to expect that time to be kept. Maybe hot water is to much to ask for in this tropical climate where it is nice but I am spoiled and like hot showers. To lazy to boil water on the stove so have been taking cold showers. On days like today after Zumba I don't miss hot water. Ok I have digressed enough. The first time I got a delivery the courier asked for a tip which I gave him even though I was not impressed by the service. I understand things happen like vehicles breaking down but the first day I was supposed to get the package I waited all day until I had to go to Banjara Hills. It's after 7pm and they call saying that they are at Aparna to deliver the package. Then they say they will come back on Saturday. I wasn't home Saturday for some time but I also wasn't given a time to expect a delivery. Weekends I am not expected to sit home all day for work. Now it is time for the water heater. After a few reminders I got the landlord to buy a water heater (geyser) and have it installed. Now I was told to expect it Saturday or Sunday. 48 hours is way to long a time gap. I may be your intern but I do have a life and get stir crazy from being inside all day. They came Sunday evening after I was told it would be delivered at noon. This time I didn't give a tip because I was hosting a pot luck and the courier didn't even acknowledge me. Went straight to the Indians speaking Telugu mistaking me for the visitor. When he asked for a tip someone else answered we have no change and didn't his boss pay him already. I missed 1 event and brought the 2nd event to me because I was instructed to stay home. So geyser arrived but still in the box because the guy said he would come back the next day but he never came. My boss is asking about the water heater and I tell her I have it but it isn't installed. I had plans for today but they got moved to tomorrow because today I have to wait for the installation guy to come. Well off to Zumba since I doubt they will show up this morning.
