Hello Friends, I hope you are doing fine. Today, I have come up with my another new blog with the title of Shaggy - The Boombastic. Friends, Jamaican born Shaggy is widely recognized as a Singer, Musician and a DJ. He is a wonderful performer because he, in his music career, has given us unique songs and music which has been praised all over the world. He has won many accolades and awards because of his talent in music, his attracting voice and singing. He is a Grammy Award winning artist and has won numerous other awards such as Juno Award, World Music Award, Brit Award, Billboard Music Awards as well as many other national and international awards in his music career. He is a singer and performer who has distinction in Pop Music, Dancehall and Reggae Fusion Music Genres. So many people out there in the world like him and adore his music style as well as his singing style which he has been producing for quite a long time and he has been there on the Music Charts for more than 25 years and has been giving number one songs on International Music Charts. Shaggy was born on October 22, 1968, in Kingston Jamaica and was name Orville Richard Burrell by his parents. Shaggy started taking interest in music at an early age and when he shifted to New York with his mother, he started to give public performances which were praised and encouraged Shaggy to continue with his music ambitions. He, for a short time, joined US Marine Corps and served for about 5 years, however, he soon left to pursue his music career. He has undoubtedly validated the fact that if you work hard with the combination of talent then nobody can stop you from achieving your dreams. He has rocked the Music World with his sheer talent and ability to produce great music. He has a sweet and melodious voice and those qualities have made him a renowned personality in the world of music. He has been successful throughout his music career and has sold many millions of his records across the globe in more than 25 years of his music career. In this Blog, I shall discuss his music career, his famous studio albums as well famous released singles, his efforts in the music world and the life after the stardom he has attained.

Having made a lot of efforts initially in his music career and having achieved fan following in music world, Shaggy released his famous third international studio album with the title of Boombastic in July 1995 under the banners of Virgin Records. This studio album proved to be a great success and paved the way for Shaggy in his music career. Shaggy's previous attempts and efforts for his recognition had brought fruits plus his talent helped him a great deal and release of this album cemented his recognition as a Singer & Musician throughout the world. This album received favorable reviews from music critics and was liked by music fans all over the world. This album had 14 tracks and was based on Dancehall and Reggae Fusion Music Genres. For this album, Shaggy worked under the collaboration of experienced Music Producers and Directors such as Bobby Digital. The album was declared to be a Commercially Hit album as its song Boombastic managed to reach number one spot on UK Singles Chart as well as on the US R&B Record Chart. This album also managed to reach high spots on the US Billboard 200 and managed to become one of the Best-Selling Albums Of The Year in the United Kingdom as well as showing good progress on Music Charts in many other countries. This album managed to sell a little less than 2 Million copies worldwide. In order to promote this album, Shaggy went on to release five singles from this album and all managed to reach within high spots on the US Billboard Hot 100. His first released single Boombastic was an international hit and showed impressive performance on the Music Charts. Other released single In the Summertime also managed to show good performance on the US Billboard Hot 100 as well as on other international music charts.

Shaggy released his fifth international studio album with the title of Hot Shot in August 2000 under the banners of MCA Records and Geffen Records. This album was released as a follow-up to his previous debut album with the title of Midnite Lover which was released in August 1997 and was an average success on the Music Charts. However, this fifth album proved to be a Multi-Award winning album and was a big milestone in the career of Shaggy because it gave him worldwide fame and popularity on international level of music. This album received favorable reviews from music critics and was liked by music fans all over the world. This album had 15 tracks and was based on Dancehall, Reggae Fusion and R&B Music genres. For this album, Shaggy again worked under the collaboration of experienced Music Producers and Directors.

After release of this album, Shaggy became a household name in the world of music. His released singles It Wasn't Me (video below), Luv Me, Luv Me and Hope managed to impress a large number of music fans across the globe and got worldwide appreciation.

This album proved to be another successful album and was another milestone in the career of Shaggy because it solidified his worldwide fame and popularity on international level of music. This album received favorable reviews from music critics and was liked by music fans all over the world. This album had 15 tracks and was based on Dancehall and Reggae Fusion Music Genres. For this album, Shaggy again worked under the collaboration of experienced Music Producers and Directors. This album was declared to be a moderate Hit album as it debuted within top 25 spots on the US Billboard 200 and managed to sell a little less than 1 Million copies worldwide. In order to promote this album, Shaggy went on to release three singles from this album. Especially his single Hey Sexy Lady managed to reach good positions on the US Billboard Hot 100. His other singles Strength of a Woman and Get My Party On also managed to show good performance on the Music Charts in many other countries on international level as well as attaining worldwide appreciation and love from music fans across the globe.

He released a single Angel (video below) from his album Hot Shot in March 2001. This song of Shaggy was an instant hit and was a number on song on the US Billboard Hot 100 as well as UK Singles Chart. This song was sold in high numbers across the world and was a commercial success. This single proved to be a milestone in the music career of Shaggy.
