Shahid Afridi born Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi on 1 March 1980)[2] is a Pakistani cricketer. He played 27 Tests, 350 One Day Internationals, and 59 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Pakistani national team between 1996 and 2012. He first played a ODI match on 2 October 1996 against Kenya. He played his first Test match on 22 October 1998 against Australia.

He holds the record for the fastest century (100 runs) in a ODI match, which he made in his first international innings. He scored 32 runs in a single over, the second highest scoring over ever in an ODI.[3] He has also hit the most number of sixes in the history of ODI cricket  

BOOM BOOM Shahid Khan Afridi is one of the finest, forceful and talented cricketers that Pakistan has ever produced. He was born on 1st March, 1980 at Khyber Agency NWFP, Pakistan. His full name is Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi and his supporters and cricket fans call him by nick as Boom Boom Afridi and Lala. Shahid Afridi came apart on to the cricket landscape in 1996 when he was selected in Pakistan cricket team for his right arm leg spin bowling on the other hand he produced history by scoring the Rapid Fire fastest One Day International Century (hundred) in his second match against Sri Lanka but it was his first inning as a ODI batsman.

He was endorsed up the order for discovering his expected batting talent and that he positively did in only his second match by scoring a fastest ever hundred (100) in only 37 balls against Sri Lanka. He played 27 test matches, scored 1716 runs with 156 highest score including 5 100s and 8 50s and in bowling: he has taken 48 wickets with his best performance of 5/52. If we talk about his ODIs then we come to know that he scored 6893 runs in 333 matches with 124 highest runs including 6 100s and 32 50s and in bowling: he has taken 333 wickets with his best performance of 6/38. In addition to his T20 career, he scored 713 runs in 43 matches with 54 highest runs including 3 50s and in bowling; he has taken 54 wickets with his best performance of 4/11.
