What Happened Next?

Well, my parents got in an accident in 2003 when I was 6. She was my best friend. I remember I would always play with her after school. Makes me smile. As soon as that happened, my aunt took my in. She lived right next to the girl. When we turned 13, we would hang out every day, do our homework together, do everything together. She was like a sister. Then, one night, we were working on a project and I said, "Allison, you are the best. You make me smile no matter what. I love you." Then I leaned in for a kiss. Once we were done, she said, "Once more? Just to make sure it wasn't a dream." When we were kissing I could feel her smiling. Now it's been 4 months since that, and we are as happy as can be.
