Well, two things happened today. I was already in a lot of pain due to my lower spine not being in a good condition already. But then while I was getting my mom some water to drink, the part of my spine that hurts once again felt like it *popped* out of place. This hasn't happened since May and was the catalyst for my lack of updates in regards to my animation efforts. But the weird thing is that I'm not in as much pain as I usually would be when something like this happens. I don't know what the explanation for it is, but I knew I had to take the initiative today and use whatever health I had to get back to work on my project.
Which leads to the second thing. I'm about 90% done editing this 5th episode of Emina now. That big block of audio waves you see down there in the picture is the music my good friend Melvyn Kalili composed for the episode way back earlier in the year. It's just been up to me to do the final sound editing on the episode to get everything all set for the music to play. So just about all of the voice work is done (I need to go back tomorrow and re-do about 3 or 4 lines of dialog so everything plays out smoothly), all of the sound effects work is done, it's all just about fine tuning everything.
And that I will do tomorrow. I need to give my poor back a bit of a rest, but I'm glad to see that I finally was able to push past a lot of the pain I've been feeling (mentally and physically) to get even this far. So stay tuned, I can't wait to show this to you guys!
