Allama Iqbal (November 9, 1877-April 21, 1938), was also known as Shayar e Mashriq..He was a poet,scholar,philosopher, and politician as well as barrister and and scholar in Subcontinent.He had played a very lead role in Urdu literature.His first book was published in Persian language called Asrar e Khudi in 1915.

In1922 he was given the title of Sir by king George while studying law in england he became a part of all india muslim league.He deleiverd his first speech which is addressed as Allahabad address.Iqbal wrote famous books like baang e darra,Javed nama and many more.Iqbal was a outstanding poet.Once he wrote to a British community that the ONE WHO IS STEEL IS EVERYTHING means if u have strong character than u have everything.
