Wow, it’s been a while since I posted. But, you know, it’s only because I’ve been on the road with Small Blessings. Which has been a complete, total, and unexpected blast!

I was frankly unprepared for the wondrous-ness of having people come to hear me talking about writing in general and writing Small Blessings in particular. I’m not really much of a speech-maker, so these session quickly turned into conversations among people who have ongoing love affairs with words.

But, perhaps, the most unexpected wonder was having my first novel, with whose characters I’d kept solitary company for three years, be at the center of these conversations.

It reminded me a bit of when my daughter grew up and jumped into her own, independent life.

 I realized, had done the same.
