Mt.Fuji
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office Observatory Mt. Fuji, which is the highest mountain in Japan, can be seen from quite a distance, even in Tokyo, under the right conditions. And there are many famous tourist spots in the environs of Tokyo where you can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji. Japan is a rare country where the highest mountain can be observed from the capital city. 

The best views can be enjoyed on sunny days between December and February, or on the day after a strong wind has been blowing. The appearance of a white snow-capped Mt. Fuji is indeed sublime.

Twice a year, the sun sparkles like a jewel just as it rises above or sinks down from the summit of Mt. Fuji. This is called 'Diamond Fuji', attracting large numbers of people to locations where they can see this rare sight.
