What is this, an action cam for ants?
In case you’ve forgotten, Sony also makes excellent action cameras that are easy to use and are light on the pocket. The company officially released to the PH their newest, and probably smallest action cam to date – the HDR-AZ1. This wee little camera is substantially smaller than the previous action cams of Sony, but still promise to deliver roughly the same feature set as its bigger brothers.
The AZ1 has the same 11.9 megapixel sensor as its larger siblings. You’re still going to be able to capture up to full HD of video, and 120FPS of video at HD. The device retains much of the same software functionality as its other brothers, which include the ability to connect to Sony’s PlayMemories apps. The AZ1 is also compatible with Sony’s Remote View viewfinder that now allows you to see video that you’ve recorded. The Az1 has both WiFi, NFC and GPS so you can still connect to the device using your phone and remotely trigger recording there.
We’ll update this post once we get a clear answer on pricing.
