There was one Hindi release this week named X: Past & Present and the film opened to practically no collections. The film is said to have 11 directors but remains to be seen if it can collect more than 11 lakhs on day one. The film has managed to some screenings in the metros as is the only new release but it won't help much as their is no audience for the film.
The Hollywood release Spectre has opened well with occupancy of 30% plus. The film had paid previews yesterday and did very well on them with collections probably going to around 2 crore nett. The Last James Bond film Skyfall grossed around 45 crore nett in India and this should do more as business for Hollywood releases has grown over the last few years.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo continued with varied business across India with some circuits strong while others are low. The advantage is probably that its good circuits will not be affected much by Spectre as Hollywood releases tend to less in the Central and Gujarat belt.
