"Great things are expected of you when you wear the winged foot"

Al Oerter, NYAC member, four-time Olympic Champion

Last night I participated in an incredible event in the  New York Athletic Club with 55 Olympic champions.

There were many women  who got medals in different sports. I  met Caryn Davies, a Rowing athlete. She won gold medals as the stroke seat in women's eight at the 2012 and 2008 summer Olympic.

FilmAnnex also invest on sport in Afghanistan, they support Esteqlal, Kabul soccer team. Number 2 in the Premier League in Kabul which consists of 19 teams. Soccer is one of the main sports in Afghanistan.
Film Annex is sponsoring Esteqlal soccer team as its first step into Afghanistan national sport system.

I also met two USA national Women Water Polo team who won the gold medal in London 2012 Olympic.

I told them about our project  in Afghanistan of Building Internet Classroom  and providing a social media curriculum where students can learn how to get involve in social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Linkdin and start writing blogs about Afghanistan.

The main idea is to support Afghan women specially  school girls who have limited access to Internet, Building Internet classrooms makes easier for them to establish a communication in a virtual world without fears.

We spoke about how we can build a relationship and create a community with Afghan and American women who can work together and share their knowledge, experiences. We also talked about giving Afghan women a chance to build their  future step by step.

Afghan women had a very hard time during the Taliban regime and it takes time to achieve their dreams. The most important key is that, when women support each other in any part of the world, spread their ideas and establish a strong relationship, it will not matter anymore whether you are in Afghanistan or in the US. The most important thing is that: YOU ARE A WOMAN AND YOU DESERVE A GOOD FUTURE.
