Squid Sisig is a grilled squid, chopped into small pieces and sautéed with minced garlic, ginger, and onion. This is a seafood version of the original Pork Sisig dish.
½ kilogram of large squids
1 large red or white onion, minced
2 table spoon minced ginger
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 pieces of siling haba (long chili), chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon cooking oil for sautéing
Salt to taste
1. Clean the squid, removing internal and ink sack.
2. Rub salt on the squid and let it stand for about 5 minutes.
3. Grill the squid at least 3~4 minutes on each side.
4. Chopped squid into small pieces. Set aside.
5. In a deep pan, heat up 2 tablespoon of oil then sauté the garlic, onion, and ginger.
6. Add chopped squid and siling haba then season it with salt and soy sauce.
7. Stir fry for a couple of minutes and it’s done.
8. Serve.
