It was announced yesterday that Lucasfilm, together with Disney, will begin filming the next episode of Star Wars in May of this year. The Star Wars will be placed 30 years after the last episode, Return of the Jedi, which ironically was in the original 3 created back in the late 70's-80's.
The next episode of the Star Wars legacy is schedule to be released into theatres on December 15, 2015. This seems a bit quick for filming and post production, but would be a large push for the Christmas Movie Go-er.
What are your thoughts on Star Wars - Episode VII? Do you think the series has gone too far and is just reaching too far into the pocketbook for the new episodes? Has Star Wars, while partnering with Disney, reached Disney's epic fails of sequels?
