It's been almost 20 years since the first Stargate film starring Kurt Russell and James Spader was released and became a hit. TV Series, books, comic books and video games came out and now, its creator Roland Emmerich wants a reboot. Emmerich has expressed that he has already spoken to MGM, the rights holder, and proposed them to make a sequel as a reboot and then do 3 parts. Surely there is a fan base, lets see how they can refresh the franchise besides visual effects, meanwhile they are already looking for a writer.
