Two New York City strippers say they were banned from dancing in the VIP room because they were black, according to Bouncer Chronicles sources. In a lawsuit filed by Kieara Gaskin, 28 and Tenia Stuckey, 37, they state it was hard for them to earn bigger tips because they were given less time in the VIP area at the clubs where they worked at in Brooklyn and Queens.
The lawsuit claims owner Kevin Burch, who runs Starlets in Woodside, Queens and Lust in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, allowed bouncers to decide who got the most time with the richer clients. The women claim the bouncers allowed certain strippers more opportunities to earn larger tips. These select strippers tolerated their bouncers sexual advances to have more opportunities in the VIP room.
