Now You Can Shop at Michael Kors, Too

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 11, 2015

Michael Kors is probably the favorite designer of at least one woman in your life, and now he can be yours, too. The American brand opened its largest doors in New York City's SoHo district—the brand’s first to house a complete menswear collection. You'll find everything from a shoe salon and an accessories floor to a full selection of sport coats, dress shirts, ties and leather goods in the Men’s Suit Shop under one roof. Bonus: In-house tailors will keep you looking sharp and a pool table will keep you entertained. Both Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors ready-to-wear lines will be carried at the 520 Broadway location, as well as exclusive runway items hand-picked by the designer himself.

New Balance Enters the Soccer Arena

FRIDAY, FEB. 6, 2015

Be on the lookout for a familiar logo on soccer fields. New Balance announced this week that it’s now a player in the world’s most popular sport. Simultaneous events were held in London and New York where execs from the Boston-based brand revealed the news and a list of world-class athletes and clubs it will endorse.

The portolio of club sponsorships includes Liverpool FC, Stoke City FC, FC Porto and Sevilla FC. Australian fan favorite Tim Cahill, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany are among the 10 endorsed players. Find the complete list here

“I think everyone from the Sunday Leagues to international players are going to enjoy the products that brand is creating,” said Cahill, who attended the press event in Manhattan. The brand will face stiff competition from Adidas and Nike, who dominate the world of soccer, generating $2.7 and $2.3 million in revenue from the sport, respectively. The New Balance soccer shoes and kits—or apparel—will arrive in stores this spring.

Your Most Scientific Run Yet

THURSDAY, JAN. 22, 2015

Adidas is taking you back to high school physics. Remember Newton's Laws of Motion? The German sports giant conceptualized force into its latest running shoe by packing its midsole with 3,000 energy capsules. (Check out the video below to see the foam-like material in action.) The Ultra BOOST also features a breathable Primeknit upper to keep you light on your feet—without your shoe sliding off. Although the $180 sneaker won't be ready for your runs till February 11, you can sign up online today for access to the online pre-launch.
