Sunan Nasa’i

Contains 5,662 hadiths, this book is written by Imam Nasa’i. His complete name is Ahmad Ibn Syuaib An Nasa’i. He was born on 215 H/831 CE in Nasa’ city, Khurasan and passed away on 303 H/916 CE in Ramlah, Palestine.

Imam Nasa’i went around to Muslim countries either in the east or in the west, so he could listen from many people who listening hadith from hafidz (people who like to memorize) and shaikh.

Among countries that he visited are Khurasan, Iraq (Baghdad, Kufa, and Basra), Al Jazirah/ The Peninsula (Haran, all around Maushil, Syam), Borde (between Muslim country region with Hijaz, Roman, and Egypt authority).

Imam Nasa’i wrote As Sunan Al Kubra book, it entailed sahih and problematic hadiths. Then he summarized in As Sunan As Sughra book that he named Al Mujtaba’. For this second book, he just collected hadith that he thought it is sahih. This book which often known as Sunan An Nasa’i.
