Sky-gazers from the Americas, Europe, Africa, west Asia and the east Pacific witnessed a rare astronomical event Sunday when a swollen super-moon and lunar eclipse combined for the first time in decades was visible in the sky. The super-moon appeared as if bathed in blood-red light. It was 30 per cent brighter and 14 per cent larger than visible normally in the sky on other days. We, the Indians were, however, unfortunate as the phenomenon was not visible in any major Indian cities.
Super blood moon shone bright in the sky of Sunday.
