What is a Supermoon?
The moon travels around the earth in an elliptical orbit.; one side of it is about 30,000 miles closer to Earth than the other side.
According to NASA, when the Earth, Moon and Sun comes up in a straight line as the Moon orbits the Earth, and when the earth is at the center of the Moon and the Sun, then there will be a supermoon.
