It has been proven that music has effects on the development of brain, as it can enhance human abilities.

VH1 Save the Music foundation is a non-profit that has been teaching music programs to children in schools in the US. Save the Music believes that music can bring changes and have a positive effect on a child's brain. Children who practice a musical instrument have enhanced skills such as a good memory, mathematics reasoning, and a higher IQ.    

VH1 provides grants for public and elementary schools that don't have any music programs.
