Nine other Barça strikers have scored on their home debuts against Real Madrid.
Luis Suarez made his official debut for FC Barcelona on October 25 2014 against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu and six months later he scored the winner in Barça’s 2-1 win at the Camp Nou to join a select group of players -Maradona, Lineker, Romário, Kodro, Ronaldo, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic, Villaand Neymar -who’ve scored in a Clásico in their debut season at the Club.
Since Diego Armando Maradona scored in the 1982/3 Clàsico at the Camp Nou, six other players have bagged a goal against Madrid in their debut season – all of them in the home game too. Gary Lineker scored a hat trick in his first Clásico in Barcelona, as Barça won 3-2 in the 86/87 campaign and Romario repeated the feat seven years later in the 5-0 whitewash. In the 95/96 game, Kodro left his calling card with two goals in the 3-1 win and the following year it was Ronaldo’s turn, scoring the only goal in the 1-0 victory.
More recently, Samuel Eto'o scored in the 3-0 win in 2004/5, Zlatan Ibrahimovic got the only goal in the 2009/10 victory and David Villa scored twice in the famous 5-0 win during the 2010/11 campaign. Finally, after joining in the summer of 2013, Neymar bagged his first Clásico goal in the last season’s 2-1 game.
