A survey conducted in India by EduSports, a school sports enterprise shows a very pathetic health condition of the future citizens of the country. According to the survey, almost one out of three school-going children in the country does not have a healthy body mass index (BMI) and almost half of them lack enough lower body strength. The survey claims to cover 1.70 lakh students from across 86 cities and 26 states of the country. The students were tested on sprint capacity, flexibility, upper and lower body strength, abdominal strength and BMI. So, necessary steps must be taken at the school level so that the trend can be reversed to have a healthy generation of children in India.
