When a passenger bus carrying members of the minority Shia community was passing through Safoora Chowk in Karachi, a group of motorcycle-borne gunmen donning police uniforms stopped the bus and entered it. They fired indiscriminately which killed at least 47 people and injured 20 others.  A pamphlet found at the site shows that the ISIS had a role in the killings and they have threatened more attacks on the Shia community. Pakistan Prime Minister and President have condemned the attack.
