Though the India Meteorological Department had predicted deficient rainfall in July in the country, Skymet, a private weather agency had stuck to its forecast of "normal" monsoon in the month. The agency had forecast that the north, east and west India would receive normal rainfall but the southern peninsular may not witness the same. Our experience of rainfall in July in our locality proves that Skymet was right in their prediction and rather to say that the rainfall has already exceeded the normal level compared to the previous years.
