Hello! Do you have a blog or website? I started writing my first blog a few years ago. Of course, I had not much success, so I stopped writing. Only after I joined Bitlanders and came back to writing, I also returned to my blogging. I knew that without understanding and applying of Search Engine Optimization rules I will not succeed. There is a bunch of all kind of articles and various YouTube videos on SEO theme online. I have read and watched a lot of them in order to understand how to get ranked on Google search. Now, I think, I have already some knowledge about SEO. Let me share with you my experience and what I have learned of my blogging. I present 7 rules for better your website optimization created by me.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the online visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine's unpaid results—often referred to as "natural", "organic", or "earned" results.

Have you any project online? If you have, then you realize how important not the project's creative process is but the presentation of the project itself to the target audience. It means how important it is for visitors who care about your content. However, people often think about it only after the project was created, as they are still focused on the creation of tools for the Internet, not their use and the ultimate goal of the business - sales.

To sell, you must submit your goods or services to potential buyers. And Google's search engine helps to do it online. After all, you search Google as soon as you need something. There is a need for information first of all, and then only for a product or service. For this reason, Google is one of the largest online sales channels.

Let's be objective - if you are not on the first page, you are not online. I'm not saying that advertising cannot attract the target audience, but you will attract it until you buy ads on other popular web pages or until your money for advertising runs out. Search engines can generate to you a natural and steady stream for online business. And for this, you do not need to pay extra money.

You need to apply certain rules if you want that Google would help your business thrive on the Internet. This process, as you already know, is called a search engine optimization or SEO. I will not go into many details but will give you simple 7 rules in this article. Apply them to your web projects and they will help you to gain Google search favor and even will force this online sales vehicle to work for your business.

7 Steps Towards a Good Relationship With Google Search

1. The Page Matches the Keyword

Each website page must be targeted to a specific keyword phrase that a potential customer can look for. It's important to understand that a keyword is in line with the needs of the web user and yours as a website owner's goal is to meet that need. If there is a need, there is a solution to it. You must clearly indicate this solution on a specific page.

However, besides the content on the page itself, there are a few technical parameters that will help Google search to understand that your web page is targeted to a specific keyword.

  • Url is the web page address

The website address specific to a particular keyword looks like this: http://www.yourdomen.com/keyword/

It is recommended that a page that is targeted to a specific keyword should have it in its address.

  •  Page Title

Another important parameter is the page title (header). It should start with a keyword oriented to the specific page. Recommended page's title structure: Keyword | Catalog | Brand.

The directory is where the page is located, for example, if the desktops are described in particular page, the computers would be their catalog.  The title of your webpage must be no more than 65 characters. Remember this!

The content title in the page's code looks like this: <title> Keyword | Catalog | Brand </ title>.

  •  H1 Content Header (<h1> Keyword </ h1>)

Before you start the page content, you need to correctly describe the content header. The main content header tag is <h1>. Throughout the page, it can only be used once. In this way, search engine crawlers understand where the page content starts. Ideally, the page headline should match the targeted keyword to which the page is targeted. The headers of the lower levels are h2, h3, and so on. They can be as much as possible on the page.

  • Keywords in the content

I recommend that you mention the targeted keyword (s) in the content itself.

However, you have to remember one basic rule that the content of the page is prepared primarily for web readers, and then only for search engines.

Do not overdo it. If you are going to naturally use targeted keyword phrases in the content, use them, otherwise, they may not be at all there.

  • Meta description

Although the Meta description does not influence the optimization process, it is an important page parameter, because the Meta description is displayed in Google search results next to the link to your web page:

In this example, we can see that only the third search result has a correctly prepared Meta description which is presented as a completed sentence. It encourages the user of a search engine to be interested in more closely. All pages of your website must have a unique Meta description that fits your content. That will encourage users to click and open your site's link.  Keywords can be used in the Meta description, but not necessary. If used, they will be highlighted in the search results. Meta descriptive size cannot exceed 160 characters.

2. Google Indexing

Your site cannot rank in Google search engine until your site is not included in the Google index (the search results database). There is a very easy way to check if your site is indexed. It is enough to enter this search term in Google Search: www.domen.com

If you've just created a page and has not yet been indexed in Google search, use the pingler.com service to help Google be notified of the new website's appearance on the Internet. Use the Google Webmaster Tools to help you identify all inconsistencies and indexing issues on Google Search.

Check if your website is not restricted to indexing. Meta tags are used to forbid the pages indexing:

Ensure that these tags do not appear on pages that should rank in search engines. Tell Google to search your site tree (Sitemap). It should be found at yourdomen.com/sitemap.xml. You can also specify this file through the Google Webmaster Tools.

3. Page Loading Speed

According to my research, in the last period, most SEO companies optimizing pages from the inside most attention paid to increase the loading speed of their pages.

Again, using the Google Webmaster Tools, you can detect problematic page loading locations and optimize your page based on Google tips.

4. Partnership Relations

Find your partners in Google TOP10 by your top keyword phrases in your marketplace and start collaborating with them by exchanging links or hosting content on your partners' sites.

Partners websites may include forums, blogs, social pages, media portals, etc.

5. Inbound and Outbound Links

One of the ways to optimize pages of your website for Search engines - attract links to pages that should rank high in search queries. In order for your content to be shared by other site owners, the content must be relevant and interesting in the first place. You can take care that your content spreads over the Internet by writing articles, company newsletters or press releases. But first, you need to know the needs of your visitors, the target audience. Propose free useful things: informative newsletters, PDF reviews, how to instructions, research results, interviews, expert opinions, overviews of market niche events, present trends or market insights. 

In some cases (but not all), various theme jokes, photos, comics, and similar things also fit. It is important that your content would get viewed by the audience, and people would like to share it. Use the links to those pages that are relevant to you and are ranked in the search engines.

6. Video Strategy

The video is still a rarely used content format. Prepare and publish at least two videos per year, related to your company's activities. Distribute them through all possible video services and all other possible channels. Arrange your video distribution by time intervals. Prepare the video description and title correctly. Orient the video to your market keywords. In the video description, use the links to the related pages of your optimization.

7. Track Your Visitors Behavior

The tracking of visitors' behavior is one of the most important steps in the optimization process. Many websites use Google Analytics tracking and analytics system to track the flow of visitors. Google, having this data, can decide if visitors who visit the site find what they were expecting to find. All this data may be a signal for the search algorithm to evaluate or downgrade your site's pages according to relevant key phrases.

Monitor the percentage of visitors who visited your optimized site and never came back. Modify the site so that visitors will open as many additional pages as possible. Also, it is important to check the time spent by visitors on your site, as well as the number of pages they open. If the time spent is very short - the content is not good quality and not enough attracting. Also, one of the important indicators determining whether the content is valuable to visitors is the number of returning visitors.

Be the niche market leaders, otherwise, forget about the internet.

Google search algorithm has been influenced by several hundreds of different parameters that Google use to sort out the ranked websites in the search results (SERP). Here I presented 7 ways to make a significant impact on website ranking. However, in order to dominate the search, you should take other steps towards leadership on your online marketplace.

 After all, there is only one Facebook, one YouTube or one eBay on the Internet. You want to be market leaders as only in this way you'll be the first on Google Search, so you have to become those leaders. The leaders always dictate all the conditions in their niche market.

And to do this, have to find out all the key tools. Having used and applied all of them to your online business, you will force Google to love your website and work for your business.
