An act of kindness

    One thing I like about going in the province is how life is so simple there. Stress free and people are contented with what they have. Everything is fresh - fish, vegetables, fruits, and fresh air. What a life, I guess I can settle one day and adapt the urban life.

     Whenever I go to any province in the Philippines, I always drive around with my camera on hand, you'll never know what mine of gold you can stumble along the way. The photos I take during my travels are my treasures.

     You can see farmers. fishermen, and vendors. Doing their daily way of life. The hard work they do makes me realized that without them where are we going to get our food. But then they are the ones who are living a hard life.

     Driving around I saw this house in front of it is a huge mango tree and I saw that mango fruits hanging, I kindly asked the owner if it is possible if I took a photo of the mango, he smiled at me and said it is ok.

     So here it is my photo of the mangoes, as I start to leave the old man called me and he said he wanted to give me some mangoes. I was astonished, I told myself this man must be kidding, or perhaps he'll just give me a 2 or 3. Then he got inside the house, came out with this plastic bag of mangoes.

     Wow! all of these are free. I can't get anything free in the city, unless it is a date with some guy then I can have a free dinner. LOL.  Back to the old man, I saw him cut the mangoes that I took a pic and he gave it to me too. What an act of kindness! I will never forget that smile in his face as he waves goodbye to me.

     It's not everyday that people show you a little bit of kindness, but that little bit of kindness sure does goes a long way. It's like a chain reaction, somebody make you feel good then you suddenly seeing yourself doing the same thing to another person who needs some help. As for me I ended up buying a meal for one street kid I saw during that day. It feels good doing something so small but it sure does goes a long way.
