The old woman noticed that her dog has blood stains around its mouth. She was about to ignore it but blood traces created a path upstairs. She had goosebumps. At first, she thought of an stray animal was killed by her pet but the blood dictate more than her thoughts. I could be her grandchild.

She beat her dog. She was about to kill the dog when she saw her grandchild coming and waving at her. 

Who could be upstairs? 

As soon as the police arrived, a wounded robber was caught upstairs.  And the dog was barely moving.
