The current Ethiopian patriarch,Abune Petros is dead after 20 years of leading the Ethiopian Orthodox church.Abune Petros was the first Tigray originated patriarch that leads  over 40 million of the Orthodox followers in the past.However,due to weeks  time sickness,Abune Petros can't recover from his illness and he has just died by the age of 76.In the past years,he has done great humanitarian funds and supports for those people who needs first aid.He led the Ethiopian Orthodox funding organization which is the crucial step to support the way of lives of thousands of poor people through out Ethiopia.On the other hand,he was selected as the president of the international Holy Bible society that he contributed a lot in the organization both personally and organizationally.

 

     In general Patriarch Abune Petros was the most influencial person in involving in religious,social,economical and political matters.The finalize funerial is expected to be done on Friday.
