Before we start talking about Shinwari food . let me give you brief introduction about Shinwari people. The Shinwari are an ethnic Pashtun tribe of Afghanistan and Pakistan. A major part of tribe is settled in eastern valleys of Nangarhar province. In Pakistan most of them are settled in Landikotal .

lets move on to Shinwari food .As i myself belong to this tribe so i consider myself a better person to talk about food of Shinwari. Shinwari food is all about simplicity. we dont use much of species in our food. when we think about Shinwari food one think which click our mind is wreeta and patte danee
its very simple but delicious food. its very easy .you dont need much of ingredients. take some meat (prefer sheep) cut them into small pieces put some salt on it ,put them in iron. then next step is put them on coal. move it around quickly. add fat on it time to time.. here you got delicious wreeta. its taste awesoum when you eat it directly from iron.
while if we talk about patee danee its different you bar b q kidney for few minutes, then take it off wrap it with fat and then cook it.
so you dont need much of ingredients and species but still you get the best of food, i hope you people try it one day. please tell me how it taste.
