The eight-year-old Agra girl had a defective valve in her heart for which she had to be regularly hospitalized in her bid to fight the ailment and survive. But she was born to poor parents. Her father is a worker in a local shoe making factory. The mounting hospital expenses were taking a heavy toll on him. So, the highly specialized treatments suggested by doctors to be carried out at reputed city hospitals were totally out of his reach. He was at a loss about the future of his daughter. Under the circumstances, a local doctor suggested to write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking for financial assistance. The girl complied as it was the last chance for her survival. What happened next was a miracle because the family not only received an immediate reply but also received assured treatment at Delhi's GB Pant Hospital.
