A city having the historical importance from several 1000 years, situated in the Rawalpindi district of Pakistan.
Used to be a center for knowledge from its early history. Unluckily if we talk about this city today it has literacy probably even less than 25%.
But one of its neighboring city situated in the same teh. i.e. Taxila, still have (approximatly) more than 200 schools within its total area of about 10 KM. 

Moreover It contains a University a Medical college and two Engineering institutes along with many colleges for FA, FSc, BA, BSc etc. and two institutes for DAE.

with all this still today she is believed to have 100% literacy rate. 

So we can say that Taxila didn't lost its great heritage
