THE GUDDU BARRAGE
The Guddu barrage is one of the biggest river of the Pakistan , it is lies near the KASHMORE . it is built it a place where river is fourteen kilometers in width , it is the biggest river of the Pakistan .it was put into operation on 4th February 1962. Many engineers , technicians and labors worked day and night to complete it about 5000 workers work there to complete it .because it was very difficult to complete this big river .
This barrage irrigate about 2.7 million acres . it is specially designed to force the water spread about 1.2 million cusecs .
This river played agreat role in the life of common man . the river is served as the trade route , in the ancient time it was a source of trading through boats .
A barrage is a kind of well which stop the flow of water . the guddu barrage has 64 gates , the aim of this season is to store the water in such a manners that canals may able to get the water throughout the year ,
It is very big river in the Pakistan and provide water to the Sindh all the regions and areas , it proves very better for the agriculture of Pakistan . it start from the and lies in the Sukkur , javobabad and reat at the kalat division of Balochistan province . It has a system of three main canals the begari sindh feeder on its left bank the ghotki feeder on its right feeder .
The barrage is a kind of wall . which control the water in the flood season in a good way
