The Happy Hour Guys: We're pitching ourselves.

Hey everyone. You're all familiar with our fun 3-5 minute vids. But we're also moving forward into the documentary and 30 minute broadcast arenas. So we thought we'd show you our pitch, and the first of an 8 episode test 'season'. Let us know what you think!
- Jimmy & Mark
Jimmy Ludwig and Mark Aldrich love three things: History, Drinking, and the History of Drinking. Oh, and did we mention Travel?
Their mission: To go around the world and through time to discover the most historic and remarkable bars, the best Happy Hours, and the greatest drinking stories ever woven into the tapestry of the human race. How will they accomplish this? The Happy Hour Guys.
The Happy Hour Guys is a weekly, 22-minute HD production based in NYC featuring, in each episode, a particular theme, geographical area or time period. Our bar-hopping, storytelling heroes meet all sorts of fascinating people and will try any indigenous drink that comes their way, always ending up with new friends and amazing tales. Consider this: Without taverns, there could never have been an American Revolution! Baseball, apple pie... and booze?
Mark and Jimmy also have lots of friends who like to drink: David Hyde Pierce, Sara Ramirez, John OʼHurley, Lauren Graham, Tim Curry, Hank Azaria, Kate Shindle, Judy Reyes, Lucy Liu and many more. And they pop in everywhere, from NYC to LA and beyond.
And Mark and Jimmy are both funny. Very funny. The charm that theyʼve honed as actors on television, in film, and on New York stages serves them well. Theyʼre humble about it, but hereʼs the truth; Mark is the Byron of Booze; the Twain of the Tipple. And Jimmy is the Cicero of the Saloon; the Oprah of the Oak Room.
Web-savvy? You bet! With thehappyhourguys.com, interactivity drives even more traffic with many extras, including bonus content and Happy Hour deals only available through the site. Bring on the iPhone and Blackberry apps!
So whether theyʼre chasing ghosts through haunted bars in Maine, running from the ʻbullsʼ (thatʼs a womenʼs roller derby team) in the Big Easy, or ʻslappin leatherʼ near a classic frontier saloon just prior to a shot of whisky, Mark and Jimmy are your guides to the best the USA - and the world - has to offer in remarkable and historic bar hopping.
Episode 1-1: Ghouls and Gobblin; Haunted Taverns of New England.
The Jameson Tavern in Freeport, ME is, like any great Tavern, haunted by several reported spirits. After a night of drinking, will Jimmy be able to stand staying all night and ghost hunting there? (Mark locks them in.) And if they make it through the Jameson, will they be able to stand Molly Malone’s (Portsmouth, NH), the Stagecoach Inn & Tavern (Rhode Island), and The Captain Lindsey House (Rockland, ME), all of whom have their own resident (and sometimes bloody) ghosts? Perhaps the heroes of Ghost Adventures can drop in and dispense some advice. Rockland is also home to the Maine Lobster Festival - so, to calm his nerves, Mark shows Jimmy just how to appreciate a lazy man’s lobster (and a great local microbrew).
