The legend of Rataskaevu street in Old Town is scarey as well as fascinating: it tells a story of a spirit who lived in Kassikaev (Cat´s well) and Devil who celebrated his wedding in one of the buildings. The legend speaks that animal sacrafices, especially cats, had to be thrown into the well on yearly basis which is why the well is nowadays known as Kassikaev. Also it is said that Devil celebrated his wedding party in the neighbouring building which is a feared place with a blacked out window even today.
