THE NEWSPAPERS, BACK BONE OF THE COUNTRY

The word “NEWS”  we come across everyday is a four letter word which stands for “North” , “East” , “West” , and “South”.  The importance of news paper still exists in spite of much development in electronic Medias but in third word countries like Pakistan where information technology is not much developed. we obtain information’s, current affairs and analysis of the world from four corners of the world.

On national base, mostly newspaper speaks on behalf of the government and its people, so we can say it is source of expression of public.  Press gets to publish the newspapers and magazines etc in different languages and one can get detailed information about all different matters of life.  One comes to know all that had been happening in the last twenty four hours.  Network of press starts from news agencies,  press gathers all information happening in the world and domestic affairs from these news agencies,  so with the help of these agencies the coverage of a certain meeting, a seminar, or any other occasion , with the help of photographs and in the form of written words.

Press plays important role in solution of public problems to discuss, debates whether these problems belongs to our urban or rulers areas, either they are of farmers or of citizens, so our newspaper contain matters of interest for people for almost all the professions as well as trade news too and other classes of people.

Newspapers have great educative value.  Special article are published on science, arts, literature, culture, history, philosophy etc and we get a lot to read about our latest inventions in science and the developments undertaken in other fields of education.

In democratic countries, where press is free, is playing a great role for public’s problems and their solutions and performance of governments projects in the concerned matters.  Unfortunately our nations could not get the fruitful results because of enforcement of emergencies and martial laws by the army generals. But now it is free and sometimes some black sheep in the press  make source of earning by black mailing but mostly published true information and the reader keep in conscious by the government affairs as well as international affairs too.

In conclusion of this topic, I would say, press should be free from government interference so that it continues its role for the people of the country.
