The people of India and Pakistan have again proved that they are good neighbours.

The political relation between the two countries is not sweet at all, rather to say that it is bitter. But time and again the people of both the countries have proved that they have love and affection for each other, whenever there is an emergency, they have come forward with a helping hand for each other. This time we see that Mumbai city has opened its heart for an ailing 15-year old girl from Pakistan's Karachi.

The girl is suffering from a rare, genetic disorder called Wilson's disease due to defects in copper metabolism. The doctors in Pakistan had misdiagnosed the case and hence had used wrong medications. So, instead of any improvement the condition was deteriorating. Later when the right diagnosis was made, the doctors advised that they were ill-equipped to handle the situation and India was the optimum choice, keeping in mind the financial constraints of the family. So, the family came to India's financial capital Mumbai with only Rs 80,000. But it was obvious that the treatment would cost much more. Under the conditions, her sister appealed for donation via social media and the Mumbaikars willingly extended a helping hand. Donations worth over 1.5 lakh poured in from strangers and social workers. Meanwhile, even the doctors at the hospital made an all-out effort in assuring the family that money would not come in the way of her treatment. Now the girl is in a much better condition, but her treatment will still take more time. However, the love that Mumbaikars showered on her, the help and cooperation from doctors have certainly given the girl a new ray of hope. It can be expected that the people of both the countries should always try to maintain this relation irrespective of the political relation between the two countries.
