(And here's the THIRD episode of our proposed test season. Um. Good stuff.)
Episode 1-3: The Big Easy; or, Run, Jimmy, Run!
Jimmy and Mark begin their waltz through the Big Easy on the one and only Bourbon Street, where they find themselves taking in a tune at Fritzel’s Jazz Pub and drinking a signature cocktail at Good Friend’s Bar. While catching the Trailer Park Beauty Pageant, Mark makes a bet that Jimmy can win the running of the bulls. The Running of the Bulls is native only to Pamplona, Spain, correct? Well, until now. At this Big Easy rite of drinking passage, runners begin with a few belts at the Three Legged Dog and then must sprint to the Gazebo Cafe while being pursued by the ‘bulls’ (The Big Easy Roller Girls, wielding whiffle bats.). Punishment for stragglers is swift and merciless. Mark and Jimmy lick their wounds at Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop (at one time owned by the pirate, Lafitte!), one of the oldest bars in the nation. There is no electricity there, so no one can see their bruised egos!
