Enjoy! ________________________________________________________________ One morning I woke up and had a craving for donuts. It’s a treat that I get my wife and I when I have extra money. This morning I went to a local donut shop to get the donuts for my wife and I; our special occasional treat. As I pulled into the parking lot I noticed a homeless man who had all of his possessions in a shopping cart. He was going through the dumpster that was there. He also sleeps right next to it. It was cold outside and I just wanted to get our stuff and go to our warm home. As I stood there giving my order I heard myself ordering two extra donuts and a cup of coffee. I asked the clerk to put them in different bags though. I left and put our donuts in the car. And I then walked over and gave the two extra donuts and the very hot cup of coffee to the man. I looked at him and said, “Here I thought you could use something warm.” He thanked me with a genuine appreciation, turned and sat on the ground next to the dumpster that had become his home. As I drove out of the parking lot I wanted to give him one last wave,but before I could. He raised the cup and gave me a toast. That made my week. I haven’t seen him for a while and pray that he is okay. That is the best example of the love of GOD. When GOD moves you to act and you don’t even realize it.
