The NRP Sagres was constructed in 1937 in the Blohm & Voss shipyards (Hamburg) and received the name Albert Schlageter .It was the third in a series of four ships built for the German navy. In 1962 , he joined the portuguese navy as a training ship and named Sagres. In addition to the related mission with the instruction of cadets, the ship Sagres is also regularly used to represent the Navy and the country as an itinerant embassy of Portugal.
