Things To Know About The Green Deal

Posted on at

The Green Deal is a UK government policy which was launched by the Department of Energy and Climate Change on 1 October 2012 for the purpose of permitting loans for energy saving measures for the properties in Great Britain and was launched officially in January 2013.

Such measures were designed in order to enable consumers to benefit from the energy efficient improvements to their home. The loans are repaid through energy bills and are transferred with the property rather than those who took out the loan. Up to £10,000 is available for the work and the amount will be repaid back over 25 years.

This Infographic titled as “The Green Deal: Energy Saving For Your Home” describes everything one needs to know about the Green Deal.

The improvements that can be installed at your home through the Green Deal include the following:

  • Loft Insulation
  • Replacement Windows

  • Boilers
