The cloud lamp that brings thunder and lightning into your living room.
If you love the drama of a thunderstorm but aren’t as into getting rained on, then this astonishing thundercloud lamp could be just what you’re looking for!
The “Cloud” as it’s simply called has been created by New Zealand-based designer Richard Clarkson and is simply amazing! This smart little creative lamp is replete with lights, motion sensors, microphones, and a powerful speaker system. The fluffy outer layer certainly completes the illusion that we’re looking at a cloud.
The lamp is fully interactive and shaped like a little storm cloud to mimic a mini thunderstorm. It brings the outside inside, providing an audiovisual show that looks and sounds like thunder and lightning, but luckily rain isn’t included in the package.
Plus, it’s built in motion detectors create an incredible sound and flashes a Philips LED light show just based on your movements.
It can also be synched through Bluetooth and a remote control allows user to set it to different modes, getting it to work like a simple thunder cloud, to react to movements in its surroundings, or to respond to sounds or music that it hears around it.
The amazing product is formed using felted hypoallergenic fiberfill which works as a casing for the internal speakers. Oh and the coding for the lamp is openly accessible if you think taking a look or even improving on it.
Unfortunately, the Cloud doesn’t come cheap. It will set you back $3,360 USD, although you can get a lamp-only version for $960. For more info just visit richardclarkson.com.
