Excessive blood sugar in our body is a condition called diabetes. The result of this disease is damage to vital organs and impairment of blood circulation.
Here are three steps that may help reduce the risk of diabetes:
1. Stay physically active. Have regular exercise. Exercise can lower blood sugar and can help maintain healthy weight. Exercise is better than watching TV or playing online games in the net.
2. Let your blood sugar level tested. If your family has a history of diabetes, you might probably have a prediabetes and a blood test can tell so you can be aware of it. Some people are unaware of it and it is too late when they discover or realize it and it cannot be controlled already.
3. Eat healthy foods. Eat smaller than usual; drink water, tea or coffee instead of sugary fruit juices and eat whole-grain bread, rice and pasta moderately not refined foods.
We cannot change our genes but we can change our lifestyle!
