An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale hit Tibet on May,11 The epicentre of the quake was at 31.99 degrees north latitude and 94.94 degrees east longitude, with a depth of seven kilometres. Roads have been damaged severely. Available reports claim that casualties were likely. Relief personnel have been sent for emergency repairs and rescue of victims.
