It's starting to dawn on me that I only have about a week left to finish my Christmas gifts. It's going to be a busy week. I make gift baskets if homemade goodies for the adults in our immediate families. Each couple gets a basket filled with sweet treats, homemade bread, and homemade jelly or jam. With both sets of parents and our adult siblings I need to make 5 baskets. I also usually give at least some jam and sometimes bread to my grandma, my best friend, a few of our neighbors, and our apartment managers. That's a lot of stuff to get ready. The stuff for our neighbors and apartment managers can be made and given to them early, but the five baskets for our families need to be given on Christmas when I will see them. I can make a few things in advance, but stuff like bread has to be made as close to the day as possible. That means Christmas Eve will be the busiest day for me. I'm trying to get all the jelly made this week to help prepare.
