Time to Smoke Ribs

This weekend coming up has the potential of being a good one. Sunday will have football going on all day and the weather has definitely changed as it is cooler than it has been all year. My friend has a couple of roommates that usually takes over the house but this weekend they are clearing out and leaving him alone. This leaves some room for him to have some people over and do some entertaining.

I have decided to fire up the smoker and let it cook all day. I’ll get a few pounds of ribs and do a low and slow smoke for at least 8 hours. I have a bunch of mulberry wood that has been drying out since last year when I cut back my tree. I will use that and some cherry wood to cook and smoke the meat.

I’ll leave it up to the host to handle the sides and some beverages. If he wants to throw anything else on the grill then he can do that to because there will be plenty of room. I’ll have to bring my chair and an ice chest too because I plan on staying close by the smoker.
