The actress has reprised her role as Sarah-Louise Platt, who has embarked on a dramatic affair with bad boy Callum Logan (Sean Ward).

“I was really nervous before I came back and then my first day back I literally felt like I’d never been away. It was really strange, but in a nice way,” Tina told ITV show Lorraine.

She said it felt like “coming home” and hinted about her forthcoming scenes that David Platt wouldn’t be happy to find his sister in bed with his rival.

The actress said: “There couldn’t be anybody worse that Sarah could go out with than Callum, so when David finds out it doesn’t go down too well.”

She said of their characters’ chemistry: “I think she likes the chase, that he’s clearly so keen on her.”

Meanwhile her co-star Sean is up for two awards, Best Newcomer and Best Villain at the British Soap Awards.

“For me, best newcomer means a lot more because even though I’ve been waiting to get this break for 14 years I am still a newcomer!” he said.
