Nargis Dutta, born Fatima Rashid but known by her screen name, Nargis, was born in Calcutta, India on June 1, 1929. She is regarded as one of the finest actresses of Indian films.  She made her screen debut as a child artist in Talash-E-Haq in 1935, but her acting career began in 1942 with Tamanna. During a career from the 1940s to the 1960s, Nargis appeared in so many popular and commercially successful Hindi films. Her pair with Raj Kapoor had created magic on the silver screen. Her husband Sunil Dutta was also a successful hero of Hindi cinema and her son, Sanjay Duuta is also a stalwart in Bollywood films. She died on May 3 in 1981 in Mumbai, India.
