11th April is observed across the whole world as the World Parkinson's Disease Day as it is the birth day of Dr J. Parkinson who first observed the disease and described it in ‘An Essay on the Shaking Palsy’. The aim of Parkinson's Disease Day is to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease, promoting a greater understanding of this condition and how it can affect a person. The day also provides an opportunity to raise funds for management, research projects, and resources.
Today- it is the World Parkinson's Disease Day.
